LEarn About
Our Home Sleep Test
We are excited to offer our home sleep test to our patients! (Direct referrals and requests are also welcome – take a look at our referrals page for our forms and ways to send us patients).
We take pride in knowing our level II home sleep test (HST) exceeds the standards for testing equipment set out by the FDA, and surpasses the data collection minimum requirements outlined by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) for home-based testing.
How to Use Our Home Sleep Test
We are pleased to use the Zmachine® Synergy by General Sleep as our home sleep test device.
See their instructional video below for more information on how to set up the equipment once you have received it. Also see their detailed written instructions by clicking the button.
Do you need sleep apnea testing for a CDL?
Our diagnostic testing equipment surpasses the minimum requirements for effective diagnostic testing outlined by various governing bodies. Although the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) have some rough “guidelines” about sleep apnea testing, we are proud to offer evaluation and testing that leaves no further questions to be asked.
Additionally, we keep the home sleep test simple, quick, and easily accessible so you can get tested when and where you need to without worrying about a lapse in your license.
Are you worried about your FAA sleep apnea requirements?
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has clear guidance about sleep apnea for Aviation Medical Examiners (AMEs), including what type of testing, duration of data validation, etc. We are glad to be a specialist resource to your AME for diagnosing and managing any sleep (or wake!) conditions.
We are proud to offer airmen an evaluation and testing process that meets and exceeds those requirements and ensures your comfort and safety as you take to the skies.
The element of timing is critical, and we are glad to offer convenient appointments for timely evaluation, document completion, and data analysis (downloads from a PAP machine) to keep you and your medical certificate current.
