Continuing Your Sleep Care After a Clinic Closure

Losing access to a long-standing sleep clinic is genuinely disruptive — particularly for patients managing chronic conditions that require ongoing prescriptions, PAP therapy, or regular monitoring. We want to make your transition to WISH as straightforward as possible.

At WISH, we treat every transfer patient as a continuation of care, not a restart. Your prior diagnosis, sleep study results, and treatment history are meaningful to us. We work from what your previous care team established and build from there.

What to Expect When You Transfer to WISH

  • Prior sleep studies reviewed — your existing diagnostic results are integrated into your WISH care plan; you do not need to repeat a sleep study simply to establish care
  • Existing PAP therapy continued — if you’re on CPAP or BiPAP, your therapy continues while we assess whether your current settings are optimized
  • Prescriptions renewed with appropriate documentation — ongoing sleep medications managed with the clinical oversight they require
  • No restart from zero — your prior diagnosis and history are honored; any additional workup is only ordered when clinically indicated
  • Appointments within days — we prioritize patients transitioning from a closed practice; you will not wait months to be seen
  • Your local providers kept in the loop — we document and communicate with your primary care physician so your care remains coordinated

Sleep Conditions We Treat

  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) — including CPAP/BiPAP/APAP initiation, titration, and remote PAP data monitoring
  • Central Sleep Apnea — including treatment-emergent presentations
  • Insomnia Disorder — CBT-I and pharmacotherapy
  • Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) / Willis-Ekbom Disease
  • Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD)
  • Narcolepsy and Idiopathic Hypersomnia
  • Shift Work Sleep Disorder
  • Circadian Rhythm Disorders
  • REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD)

How to Establish Care at WISH — Three Steps

Step 1: Schedule Your New Patient Appointment

Call (360) 345-3175 or book online. Let us know you’re transitioning from Central Washington Sleep Diagnostic Center — we’ll flag your chart for expedited scheduling. No referral is required for most insurance plans. We verify your benefits before your first visit so there are no surprises at billing.

Step 2: Share Your Records

If you have prior sleep study results, PAP prescriptions, or treatment notes, bring them to your first appointment or have them sent ahead. You are entitled to your complete medical records from any prior provider. If you need help requesting records, our care team can walk you through the process. We’ll review everything you have before your first visit so you don’t repeat work that’s already been done.

Step 3: Continue Your Care

After your evaluation, your WISH care plan picks up where your previous treatment left off — or improves on it where there’s clinical reason to. PAP therapy continues. Medications are managed. Home sleep testing is ordered if additional workup is needed. Follow-up visits are scheduled. Your sleep condition receives the consistent, physician-led oversight it requires — all via telemedicine, from wherever you are in Washington.

Frequently Asked Questions — Transitioning from Central Washington Sleep Diagnostic Center

Central Washington Sleep Diagnostic Center has closed. What are my options for continuing sleep care?

WISH — Wellness Institute for Sleep and Health — is accepting new patients from all former Central Washington Sleep Diagnostic Center locations, including Moses Lake, Wenatchee, Brewster, and Spokane Valley. WISH provides board-certified sleep medicine via telemedicine across all of Washington state, so no matter which CWSDC location you attended, you can be seen by a WISH physician without traveling to a new clinic. Call (360) 345-3175 or book online to schedule your new patient appointment.

I'm currently on CPAP therapy. Will I have to start over with a new provider?

No. WISH treats patients transitioning from a prior practice as continuing care, not new diagnoses. If you’re established on CPAP, BiPAP, or APAP therapy, your treatment continues at WISH while we assess whether your current settings and equipment are optimally calibrated. You will not be required to repeat a sleep study simply to establish care unless there is a specific clinical reason to do so. Bring your PAP prescription, any prior sleep study results, and your current device settings to your first visit.

I had a pending sleep study or follow-up appointment at CWSDC. Do I need to repeat it?

Bring whatever records and results you have, and WISH will review them as part of your new patient evaluation. If a completed sleep study was interpreted by CWSDC, that interpretation is clinically valid and does not need to be repeated. If a study was scheduled but never completed, your WISH physician will determine the appropriate next step based on your clinical presentation — which may mean ordering a home sleep test or reviewing existing data before ordering anything new.

Does WISH accept the same insurance as Central Washington Sleep Diagnostic Center?

WISH accepts most major insurance plans throughout Washington, including Premera Blue Cross, Regence, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Medicare. We will verify your specific benefit eligibility before your first appointment. If you’re unsure whether your plan is accepted, call (360) 345-3175 and our team will check for you before you commit to an appointment. Self-pay and cash-pay options are also available.

Do I need a referral to be seen at WISH?

A referral is not required for most insurance plans. Patients can self-refer to WISH for a new patient consultation. If your plan does require a referral, your primary care physician can submit one — and given the circumstances of a clinic closure, most PCPs are prepared to act quickly. Contact us at (360) 345-3175 and we can advise you on the process for your specific insurance plan.

I'm in Brewster or Spokane Valley — is WISH available in my area?

Yes. WISH is a telemedicine-native practice licensed throughout Washington state. We serve patients in Brewster and Okanogan County, Spokane Valley and Spokane County, and every community in between. A telemedicine appointment means you’re seen by a board-certified sleep specialist via secure video from wherever you are — no drive to a clinic in another city. Same-week appointments are typically available for patients transitioning from a closed practice.

Your Sleep Care Doesn't Have to Stop.

WISH is ready to see you — whether you’re managing an ongoing CPAP prescription, awaiting a diagnosis, or simply need a new sleep medicine provider. Same-week appointments. No referral required for most plans. Telemedicine means no drive to a new clinic. We’re here.
